Dear Friends,
We are starting 5 new education programs this year in Nepal… one of which we visited in the city of Kathmandu on Tuesday. This program takes place in one of the most crowded areas of Kathmandu, bordering the river and several slum areas. Children from these slums attend the program 6 days a week! They receive help with their homework, play games, sing songs, and enjoy a hot meal. These education programs are a tremendous blessing both for the child and the families – many parents living in these areas are unable to help their children with their studies because they work long hours and may have never gone to school themselves. Many of these children would not otherwise receive a meal in the evening if it weren’t for these education programs.
So many children need help… the Nepali and Indian people are ready to volunteer… what will you do?
