Dear Friends,

A few days ago, we held our first all girls meeting, ‘Bhitri Sundarta’, here in Kathmandu, Nepal. This is a club for girls between the ages of 12 – 16… the idea is to show girls how special, capable, and loved they are! Our goal is to start clubs like this in churches and communities all across the country to reinforce the preventative aspect of the Daughter Project. The more girls feel good about themselves and their abilities, the less likely they are to be lured away by traffickers.

At our first meeting, we had 27 girls attend! They learned, played games, and painted a banner. We have two interns working here in Kathmandu, Alyssa Johnson and Lindsey Addie, along with our daughter, Charity, to develop and write the curriculum for this exciting program!

Thank you again for being apart of Global Family… it is because of you that we are able to reach these girls!
